A picture of my Father - Edward Groff Hess Sr.

My Father was one of the kindess, sweetest man I have known.  He was a great father.  Dad was a Carpenter by trade and worked for the Mayor of Elmsford NY.  Times were hard for us, especially in the winter time, money was scarce then because his work was seasonal.  I remember Dad would bring home food for our supper and he would not eat until my brothers and I had our full.  Many nights he went to bed hungry so we could have full tummies.  Dad loved to laugh and always had a smile on his face.  we might not have been rich in $ but Very rich in LOVE.
